Long Game Lifting (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Long Game Lifting mobile application and the longgamelifting.com website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information.

Information We Collect

Account information — When you create an account you provide a display name, email address, and password. You may optionally add your city, state, and gender. Your password is stored in hashed form and is never visible to us or anyone else.

Workout and fitness data — Exercises, sets, reps, weights, workout dates, durations, personal records, and any notes you choose to add. This data is stored so you can track your progress and, if you choose, share workouts with the community or a private group.

Group data — If you create or join a group, we store the group name, your membership, and any workouts you share with the group.

Device information — We do not collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, or location data. Basic server logs (IP address, request timestamp) are retained temporarily for security and debugging purposes.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the app and website.
• To display community leaderboards and public workout feeds using your display name (first name and last initial only).
• To let you create and participate in private lifting groups.
• To authenticate your account and secure your data.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Sharing and Visibility

When you submit a workout or personal record, your display name (first name and last initial) may appear on public leaderboards and the community workout feed. Your email address, city, state, and full name are never shown publicly.

Workouts shared to a group are visible only to members of that group.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from within the app (More → Delete Account). Deleting your account permanently removes your user profile, workouts, personal records, group memberships, and any groups you own. This action is irreversible.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and token-based API authentication. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.

Children's Privacy

Long Game Lifting is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Third-Party Services

The website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (page views, session duration). Google Analytics may set cookies on your browser. You can opt out at any time by using a browser extension or adjusting your cookie settings. We do not use any other third-party tracking or advertising services.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app or website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
