Wilks vs DOTS

Wilks has been the standard in powerlifting for decades. It normalizes strength across body weights so a 148lb lifter can be compared to a 275lb lifter fairly.

DOTS is the newer formula adopted by IPF (International Powerlifting Federation). Many consider it more accurate for modern competitors, especially at extreme body weights.

Both scores are approximations. Competition standards and formulas may be updated over time. Always check with your federation for official calculations.
